A psychedelic conveyor-belt sushi restaurant themed around "kawaii" is set to open in SoHo, New York's latest fashion hub, on June 28 this year. Sushidelic is an immersive restaurant offering a kawaii-themed experience, complete with a conveyor belt for the rotating sushi and psychedelically colored neon decorations. It is produced by Sebastian Masuda, who is known for his stage production and art design work for Kyary Pamyu Pamyu.

Sushidelic is the first American project by Sebastian Masuda, who has elevated the Japanese concept of "kawaii" to the level of art. While it is a sushi restaurant, it unfolds as a space full of colorful menus and psychedelic, distinctive character. Sushidelic's menu includes sushi, Japanese dishes, and vegetarian fare, all delivered by the rotating sushi belt. The dishes are offered not only by Japanese chefs but also through collaborations with New York chefs, and a six-part course called "Pure Imagination" is available.
